First Robots Used by Nova Post: What They Look Like and What They Do (Video)

Robots are already deployed across depots in the capital and several major metropolitan cities
Nova Post is actively introducing robots for sorting parcels.The news reported was by the company’s press relations service.
“These robots allowed to double the speed of sorting small parcels. We are currently using 272 sorting robots,” the press release states.
The company uses various types of robots depending on the parcel weight. The small parcel (up to 2 kg) sorting areas use a train robot designed in cooperation with SBR. Pirouette robots built by Deus Robotics are used for sorting shipments up to 30 kg.
The company also seeks to introduce more robotics for its cargo terminals.
“Robots at the sorting terminals help increase productivity without any additional workload for the personnel,” explained the press release.
Robots currently operate in the cargo and small parcel areas in 20 sorting centers and are expected to be introduced at 10 additional facilities by the end of the year. Robots are already deployed across 14 logistics depots, supporting large-scale operations.
According to the UNIAN, Nova Post has announced its plans to build a sorting terminal near capital city. The project will cost approximately $30 million.
