BGV Trident Capital backs Deus Robotics with $5 million investment

American company BGV Trident Capital, founded by Hennadiy Butkevych and Ilya Ponomarev, has invested $5 million in Deus Robotics, a robot production startup founded by Paul Pikulin in 2018, according to Forbes.
According to the founder of Deus Robotics, the investment will be used to establish mass production with a capacity of up to 400 robots per month. The money from American company BGV Trident Capital will also be used to expand the team to 80 people and to take the company’s robot production to international markets, including the United States, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and other countries. Abroad, Deus Robotics intends to work with businesses that have warehouses, such as retailers, postal operators, and pharmaceutical companies.
So far, Deus Robotics has developed on the investments of its founders. Pikulin has already invested more than $1 million in the project’s development. In 2021, Deus Robotics released and delivered 40 robots to customers. The startup is already working with Nova Post, and, according to Forbes, Pikulin is in discussions with 13 additional companies.
Deus Robotics already has orders for the delivery of more than 400 robots in 2022-2023. According to Pikulin, the investment in robots can be paid off from the first day if they are rented, or within 1-3 years if they are purchased.
Deus Robotics is a robotics company founded in 2018, focused on developing advanced automation solutions. Deus Robotics specialists have developed six wheeled robots for work in warehouses, which navigate using QR codes located on the floor. These robots increase work efficiency: an average person sorts 500 parcels per hour, while with the robot, the number increases threefold to 1500 parcels.
BGV Trident Capital owns one of the largest grocery retail chains in its market. Hennadiy Butkevych is a co-founder of the company.
