Deus Robots, founded by Pavel Pikulin, is set to receive a $5 million investment from American BGV Trident Capital, which was co-founded by ATB co-owner Gennadiy Butkevych and former Russian politician Ilya Ponomarev, who has since become a Ukrainian citizen.
According to Forbes, the investment aims to establish a serial production line in Kyiv capable of producing 400 robots per month, expand the R&D team to 80 people, and enter international markets such as the United States, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and others.
Deus Robots plans to work with businesses abroad that have warehouses, including retail, postal operators, and pharmaceutical companies.
“Our deal and ATB are not related in any way,” said Pikulin, but he declined to disclose any further details about the deal.
